1. What problem is KeyLead trying to combat?

Accelerating cures and new treatments through connecting data and deriving holistic insights!

To advance cures and treatments, we need to run clinical trials faster with better data outcomes, so we build a holistic understanding of the condition that considers all factors around it.

This process requires contributions from multiple sources - the patients, clinicians as well as allied health space and the addition of labs and pathologies. KeyLead Health’s digital platform simplifies the process of capturing, managing and analysing data in one secure place so the process speeds up and the data remains secure and private, delivering compounding benefits such as accelerated clinical trials and providing rich insights for patients as well as their treating physician.

2. What was the biggest challenge you faced since conceptualising KeyLead?

The biggest challenge has been finding the right market fit and offering the right incentives to initiate proactive action from both patients and clinicians. Healthcare is complex and has many players and stakeholders with different priorities including clinicians, patients, carers, admin, nurses, hospitals, insurers, governments etc.

Although holistic medical insights can potentially help all the stakeholders, it was challenging to explain how each individual will benefit from it. Once users started seeing the difference and benefits, it was much easier to talk and showcase these success stories and sign up new users.

3. What has the response from your clients been like?

The response has been somewhat humbling. We have been surprised to see what we have been able to achieve in a short period of time, given how slow healthcare moves. Starting at the neurology department at St Vincent’s hospital and soon found ourselves zooming in and out of different therapeutic areas and hospitals across Australia. We are currently working on clinical trials in multiple areas including, hepatoma, diabetes, gastroenterology, psychiatric interventions, cognitive assessments, epilepsy and dementia.

This has been achieved thanks to the ongoing support, feedback and response from our expanding client list. And talking of rapid growth, having LUNA by our side has been a fantastic push as it is vital to have an expert and efficient team when expanding quickly.

We are very proud to be supporting the Australian healthcare system to find cures for simple and complex health conditions quickly and efficiently.
