The boosting female founders grant is back! It assists female entrepreneurs in overcoming the disadvantages faced in accessing capital and financing to grow their startups. 

  • What is it?

    The Australian Government has allocated a total of $52.2 million in grant funding for the entire initiative, with an estimated amount of $11.6 million available in this round. The initiative was created to achieve the following objectives:

  • Encourage private sector investments into female-led startups;

  • Help female entrepreneurs overcome the disadvantages faced in accessing capital to grow their startups;

  • Enable female founders in scaling and expanding;

  • Boost the economy via increasing the diversity of startup founders.

What is this for?

To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a female founded startup;

  • Be majority owned and led by women;

  • Have an ABN and be either an entity incorporated in Australia, a partnership or a sole trader.

What do you get?

Grants are available on a ‘co-contribution basis’, meaning that you’ll have to contribute some money alongside the government. The grants available are between $25,000 and $480,000.
