Boosting Female Founders Initiative

The boosting female founders grant is back! It assists female entrepreneurs in overcoming the disadvantages faced in accessing capital and financing to grow their startups.
What is it?
The Australian Government has allocated a total of $52.2 million in grant funding for the entire initiative, with an estimated amount of $11.6 million available in this round. The initiative was created to achieve the following objectives:
Encourage private sector investments into female-led startups;
Help female entrepreneurs overcome the disadvantages faced in accessing capital to grow their startups;
Enable female founders in scaling and expanding;
Boost the economy via increasing the diversity of startup founders.
What is this for?
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
Be a female founded startup;
Be majority owned and led by women;
Have an ABN and be either an entity incorporated in Australia, a partnership or a sole trader.

What do you get?
Grants are available on a ‘co-contribution basis’, meaning that you’ll have to contribute some money alongside the government. The grants available are between $25,000 and $480,000.
