The startup changing the snail mail game. One card at a time.

Meet Patrick, the founder of Cardly - giving us the lowdown on his journey and tips for growth and sustainability.

Jock Lawrence, Cardly

1) For those that don't know Cardly, what's your elevator pitch?
Cardly allows people to send personalised handwritten mail at scale as easily as sending email. Using our technology you can send hundreds of personalised pieces of mail, including Christmas Cards with the each message and address personalised to the recipient. It helps businesses conect in a more meaningful way and has helped some businesses much better outcomes than email or other forms of direct mail.

2) This past year especially for Victorians has been rough, how have you seen Cardly keep people together whilst in lockdown?
We have seen a 600% year on year increase as individuals and businesses have sought to keep engagement when physically coming together was not an option. We also ship in the US and UK, so lots of people are using us to stay connected when travel hasn't been possible either.

3) 5-years old! What are the biggest challenges you've had to overcome in the last half decade?
The biggest challenge has been getting the execution to align with the vision. As we get that aligned the growth has accelerated.

4) Anything we should keep an eye out for with the holidays on fast approach?
We are really well set up to make sending your 2020 Christmas cards easy. Businesses can request a free sample here. Our cards can include signatures from the entire team and multiple handwritten messages. We've worked with Adobe, Telstra, Toshiba and lots of amazing companies and they've loved what we do.
